Now I'm going to try to post a photo : wow! I think I did it! This is my daughter-in-law & my grandson Grayson (do you think I'm a proud grandmother??) ..plus I'm playing with font color...

Next week will begin my first 21st Centuries Skills class experiment. With Emily's invaluable help, all my juniors will create Google Docs accounts (do those words require capital letters? English teachers worry about such things...) & then post their writing contests online, inviting three other classmates (names drawn from a hat) to view & comment on their writing. I'm hopeful that this experience will prove both beneficial and fun (perhaps someone will even win one of these contests).

This class is much more exciting--and less intimidating--than I thought it would be. Perhaps I'll actually use Skype to call my son in Australia or my grandbaby in Pennsylvania (even a ten month old call gurgle). I wonder if my students will enjoy posting their descriptive essays for comments from their peers?
